Jeronimo Beta 0.19.0 (47)
Jeronimo is now signed by Incipit Labs LLC, the company behind it. Nothing else changes in this version. Your dictionary, snippets, history, meetings, and settings stay exactly as they are. What you will see after the update, in order:
- A window explains the new signature. Click Continue, and Jeronimo clears its own old entries from your Mac's permission lists before asking for anything.
- The Permissions window asks for Microphone, Input Monitoring, and Accessibility again, because macOS ties each permission to the app's signature. Input Monitoring takes effect after Jeronimo quits and opens again, as macOS requires. System Audio Recording is asked for at your next recording, and Calendars at the next meeting named from your calendar.
- iCloud sync starts again from this Mac's data, in a new iCloud container: everything on this Mac is sent once more and merged with what your other Macs send when they update, the newer change winning. Before updating each Mac, let it finish syncing; the iCloud settings show the last sync.
- The data earlier versions kept in iCloud stays in your iCloud account under the old container, which this version can no longer read. You can remove it in System Settings, your Apple Account, iCloud, Manage.
- The Always Record list has to be set up again after this update: approve each app once more from the recording notification. Its seal belongs to the previous signature, and this version does not carry a list over.
- The first dictation after the update prepares the speech model again, as after every update.
- If this Mac updates from a version before 0.18.0, there is no explanatory window: the Permissions window asks for the three permissions directly.
macOS 26 support is still untested.
